The second track to emerge after last year’s ExoAnthro EP release, this track focuses on a recently-awakened synthetic grappling with the duality of their own emergent mind conflicting with the human-based model resident in NV memory (a factory default, so to speak). This is occurring while experiencing the world with a sense of childlike wonder. “Murmurations mesmerize” is a lyric that says it quite nicely: this ‘bot has probably seen birds for years but never with their own mind. Today they did, and are savoring the beauty while an internal struggle unfolds.
IRL analog: I routinely felt these moments when working long hours.. silly stuff, a bird, a rainstorm, a moment of being present that slaps you in the face. This is life, and you’re missing it.
